   The Neurosurgeon


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Neurologists may work in hospitals, clinics or universities treating patients, conducting research or teaching students. They are experts at the diagnosis and treatment of neurological disorders, including stroke, dementia and neuromuscular diseases.

SALARY:A Neurologist usually gets a wage ranging from 144000 - 216000 depending on seniority levels.

EDUCATION:It typically takes about 12 years to become a neurologist. 4 years are spent as an undergraduate working toward a bachelor's degree, and then another 4 years are spent in medical school. After medical school, graduates will then undertake a one year internship, followed by a 3 year residency program.

DEMAND OR NEED:demand for neurologists is projected to increase from about 18,180 in 2012 to 21,440

REFLECTION: I would not like to be a neurosurgeon because i want to work as a psychiatrist.
